What is Classics and 21st Century Cars All About

As a Petrol head myself I've always loved cars in general but what I'm most passionate about would definitely be classics..

Most people don't realise the difference between a classic and an older car that still has that race car engine.

A classic car commonly has a rich history behind and keeps it's value if not increases its value over a number of years..
If I had a Mercedes Benz SL300 from a junk yard and built it up from scratch it would still be worth millions in my books..
However if it would be a new Mercedes C Class I'd probably leave it lying there. Well, that's just my way of differentiating between the two..

What you'd find on this blog would be Classics and the story behind it. As well as the new reformed version of it. Sometimes the two would be compared and I'll let you decide which one is better!

The British Beauty..

The British beauty could mean anything, as they say.. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder?

Emma Watson

Take a good look at Emma Watson. The new face of ambition and lime light in Britain. After staring in the Harry Potter series and globally winning hearts she is now the trend setter of fashion and the face of her land.

However, in my eyes and most Petrol Heads out there, I'd say the Aston Martin is the first thing thought of when we say 'British Beauty'. Sometimes cars are more than just speed. The new Aston Martin V12 Vantage S has both!
It takes only 3.7 seconds to sprint from 0-60 mph (3.9 seconds 0-100 km/h).. Yes.. it the brands fastest accelerating production car and will it be seen as treasured gold 50 years from now? Try 100 years. this British beauty sparked the interest of your Great Grandchildren!

Aston Martin
Sports car or luxury car? Of course the British manufactures would call it a luxury car, its build for style ans turns heads.. all the time. This specific Aston Martin swings both ways. It will go from luxury to sports car in 3 seconds.

Equipped with the new 573 PS Aston Martin AM28 6.0-litrre V12 engine, featuring latest generation Bosch engine management, the car is capable of reaching 205 mph.
Peak and low rev torque improves appreciably, too. With 620 Nm available at 5,750 rpm - up from 570
Nm previously - the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is not to be found wanting. Crucially, too, low rev torque - measured at just 1, 000 rpm - leaps from 440 Nm to 510 Nm. This serves to both fatten the torque curve, thereby significantly improving drivability.

First impressions are always memorable..

Aston Martin

Aston Martin was founded in 13 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. The first car to be named Aston Martin was created by Martin by fitting a four-cylinder Coventry - Simplex engine to the chassis of a 1908 Isotta- Frachini.

After over 100 years this car still shows its British heritage and beauty. It had multiple ownership in its time but the true concept of the car always stayed.

The late 1950's brought the classic Aston Martin Style we see today. The dolphin shaped bonnet the grill and the overall signature look you'll see in any Aston Martin today.
