What is Classics and 21st Century Cars All About

As a Petrol head myself I've always loved cars in general but what I'm most passionate about would definitely be classics..

Most people don't realise the difference between a classic and an older car that still has that race car engine.

A classic car commonly has a rich history behind and keeps it's value if not increases its value over a number of years..
If I had a Mercedes Benz SL300 from a junk yard and built it up from scratch it would still be worth millions in my books..
However if it would be a new Mercedes C Class I'd probably leave it lying there. Well, that's just my way of differentiating between the two..

What you'd find on this blog would be Classics and the story behind it. As well as the new reformed version of it. Sometimes the two would be compared and I'll let you decide which one is better!

The sexy Aventador

The latest Show Stopper!!!

I never thought it was possible.. the Aventador.. something totally different from Lamborghini but still with the GT trade mark. Honestly i think this one really 'Wowed' the world. Especially the Aventador J, something that will always be posted up on my wall.

Made in Italy, the stylish Lamborghini will surely turn heads until the world ends. Look at the iconic scissor doors. Have you ever seen it like that before?
This baby right here would definitely be an investment, even 100 years from now, I'd say. Hearing the sound if its V12 engine would give anyone goose bumps. It's something new and unique but still has that signature look to it.

The 21st Century Lamborghini GT

The flawless Lamborghini GT

The average person dreams for a whole six years in their lifetime. I think this car is one of the main reasons for that. The new Lamborghini Murcielago. a beauty and a beast. An Italian super car with 12 unique single intake throttle plates instead of the usual six, new gasoline pumps and lines, an ECU optimization and a custom exhaust system. The Lamborghini Aventador might come close to the Murcielago but i think the two are in a league of their own. Speed isn't an issue for the Murcielago, however this baby should be seen as more than that.

The Birth of Lamborghini

Ferruccio Lamborghini

Ferruccio Lamborghini was born in Italy in 1916.
If he was still alive I would thank him for inventing the most unique car I've ever seen.
Who can say they wouldn't love to have a Lamborghini

Some say the Lamborghini was a result on an arrogant remark from the owner on Ferrari There is a  famous story about how he was frustrated with problems he had with a clutch in a Ferrari (a Ferrari 250 GT), and went to visit Enzo Ferrari who's factory was nearby. Enzo had no time for a tractor manufacture and simply dismissed him. Had a simple "I'll show you" attitude been Ferruccio Lamborghini's motivation? Well from what i can see he had more than he bargained for. Lamborghini decided there was nothing Ferrari was doing he could not do better. He decided too build his own car with a V12 engine.

From being known as Mr. Fix it, to building tractors and later on building on of the most famous 'high performance' cars Ferruccio really made it big.

S

Some say

                       The 1964 350 GT Lamborghini

The stylish Classic. Over they years 125 were made over the world. Whoever the lucky owners may be should hold on to it, there'll never be anything like it ever again. She was designed racing after all, she is a sports car. There had been more GT's before and after this model with a similar build and a difference in speed. However, each of them are gold to History.

The Stunning SLS Mercedes Benz

Let's take a look at the most sexiest Mercedes Benz I've ever laid my eyes on. According the fans of Mercedes this one right here stands out for the reminder of the Legendary SL300 which was launch in 1954. I'd say the SL has been acknowledged as one of the most imposing cars of all times. Every time I even get a glimpse of the SLS it just makes my knees weak. Unlike most cars after the year 2000 this one has something very rare, elegance and yes she flies like the wind. Who knew the Gull-Wing Mercedes would make such a sweet come back?
Safety first i always say.. Mercedes Benz engineers do more than just researching new safety technologies, they passed their first key safety milestone as early as the 1950's with the development of the passenger safety cell, invented by Béla Barényi. Today it is one of numerous elements of an integrated safety concept that edges Mercedes-Benz vehicles closer to our vision of accident-free driving.
The SL Mercedes clearly comes a long way. It has style, comfort, class, the latest technology and well it turns heads. I remember seeing this beauty for the first time and thinking "I gotta have one" like a kid who seen a new toy on the T.V. For further information on this baby take a look at http://www.mercedes-benz.co.za it gives you everything you'd like to know and more.
